“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” Melody Beattie
In the midst of a storm, it can be so easy to become ungrateful. There are times in our lives when we might feel that our options have vanished, our dreams have dissolved, and there’s nowhere to go. It’s a helpless feeling and yet it could possibly be the greatest moment of Joy that we can experience.
How is that possible?
In life, we will learn in the moments of despair, confusion, and hopelessness that all we have is Jesus. And that all we need is Jesus. He gives us everything that we need. It’s when we realize that we have nothing and yet possess everything that our hearts will be at peace and our souls will be consumed with Joy.
Tonight, before you go to bed, thank Him for everything that he has blessed you with and ask Him to guide you in life so that you can serve him with your time, talents, and gifts. Love each other and continue to help one another. Be grateful in every life circumstance. We have so much to be thankful for.
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
I Thessalonians 5:18
