MANKATO, MINN. April 13, 2017 - Robin Kozitza, RN, joined The Lutheran Home: Cedar Haven as the assisted living community's new Nursing Manager in December 2016.Cedar Haven provides an extensive array of services that promote wellness, and it follows a person-centered model of care that honors personal wishes and empowers individual independence. As the Nursing Manager, Robin will oversee the medical care needs of residents as well as supervising team members.
Robin holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from Minnesota State University, Mankato and is a registered nurse. Most of her nursing career has been focused on older adults and mental health.
During her time as a home care nurse, she worked with several Cedar Haven residents. Robin also has a therapeutic recreation degree from MSU - Mankato.
"I enjoy working in the smaller setting Cedar Haven provides - the opportunity for more personalized services, care, compassion, and the TLC I can give residents," Robin said.
Elli Fuller Administrator at Cedar Haven, said Robin has been a wonderful addition to the Cedar Haven team: "She is professional and goal-oriented and demonstrates a clear passion for providing excellence in nursing – especially when it comes to senior care and mental health. She has begun to settle into her role well, utilizing her extensive experience to accomplish goals that allow Cedar Haven to better serve our community."
Robin is a Mankato native, and currently resides in Eagle Lake with her spouse and three pets - two cats and a golden retriever. She loves animals and supports the local humane society. Robin also enjoys traveling and has three grown children.
