Day 17 of Lent: Learning

Posted on Tue, Mar 26, 2019

books-1149959_1920Have you heard the encouragement “always be learning”?  It is a reminder that just because you may have finished school, it doesn’t mean that you are done learning.  Think of how we all have the opportunity to keep learning more so we can serve better in the ministry of TLHA.  Whether you realize it or want to admit or not, you learn every day in the school of life.

Our verse for today reminds us that as much as we can always be learning in this life, there is much more learning that we can do in our spiritual life. “For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.” (1 Corinthians 13:12).

You don’t have to think real hard to realize that there are so many areas of your faith life where you can learn and grow.  If you are really honest with yourself, you realize how you know so little compared to God.  If you ever doubt that you have learning to do when it comes to your faith life, just read the book of Job and see how God asks Job question after question to show him how much more he has to learn.

Although it is not always easy or fun, never give up on learning for life and for eternity!
