Heritage Homes Notes Assisted Living Week

Posted on Thu, Sep 16, 2010

Watertown, WI–As National Assisted Living Week® is observed September 12-18, Heritage Homes appreciates the special opportunities this week offers. This annual celebration is sponsored by the National Center for Assisted Living, Washington, D.C., and assisted living providers nationwide. This week recognizes the contributions made to people’s lives by assisted living caregivers and providers. It also brings together residents, families, employees, volunteers and the surrounding community to celebrate “Living Life.”

“This year’s theme means enjoying activities and pursuing passions, whatever they may be. It is the lifelong pursuit of happiness and growth,” says Laurie Rehm, Administrator at Heritage Homes. “We look forward to opening our new assisted living and memory care community this fall. This vital senior community will provide an environment where people can enjoy living life to the fullest.”

The new community continues to move towards its November completion. Construction is steadily moving forward. In terms of employment, more than 30 new full and part-time positions have been created. Several of these positions have already been filled. Applications will be accepted through Monday, September 20, for resident assistants (caregivers) as well as housekeeping and laundry aides. This assisted living and memory care community, which will be the home to 44 residents, will be dedicated on Saturday, November 6.

Heritage Homes currently provides a Christian independent living community for active seniors 55 or better. It is owned and operated by The Lutheran Home Association, which has been based in Belle Plaine, Minnesota, since 1898.
