Belle Plaine, MN—Golfers again gathered for a June tradition in Belle Plaine–the Charity Golf Classic benefiting The Lutheran Home Association (TLHA) Foundation. The group enjoyed a beautiful, sunny day and the challenges of the scenic Valley View Golf Course.

This year’s proceeds will benefit a new program, “Memorable Moments,” sponsored by TLHA Foundation. This program will help to fulfill our residents’ wishes and dreams. Some examples include to: attend a concert, make the first pitch at a baseball game, go on a special trip or to spend a memorable afternoon with grandchildren, the program’s goal is to provide a lasting, memorable moment.

Golfers enjoyed a spirited tournament and competed in a number of contests for prizes. Sponsorships included many local individuals and businesses. A number of volunteers again helped with the event.

Michael Klatt, President and Chief Executive Officer of TLHA, expresses his gratitude, “We sincerely thank the sponsors, golfers and volunteers for their generous support of our event. There were many ways people contributed: hole sponsorships, meals provided by Brian Koch, CFA® and Kwik Trip Stores, and with gifts-in-kind for our silent auction. We also thank Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, the Carver County Chapter, for being a sponsor and to its Scott County Chapter for providing supplemental funding for our event.
