BELLE PLAINE, MINN. December 20, 2018 — The Lutheran Home Association (TLHA), a national non-profit health-care and disability ministry, welcomed Chris Meyer as its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial/Business Officer. In this role, Chris will lead the ministry’s financial and operations strategy, oversee financial operations, align and manage daily business and operations throughout the ministry.
Chris joined TLHA in July 2018 and held previous roles in the ministry as Executive Consultant to the President and Interim CFO.
“Chris has made significant contributions while leading financial operations in his short time here,” said Michael Klatt, President and CEO. “He has played an instrumental role in helping us drive forward our new strategic planning process.
Before TLHA, Chris served in financial leadership roles at the Cornerstone State Bank, the Bremer Bank and the United Prairie Bank. More recently, he was an independent consultant in executive leadership, finance, and operations. Chris currently serves as the Mayor for the City of Belle Plaine and President of the Minnesota State University Alumni Association where he leads a fund program that raises $8.0 million annually.
“It is a privilege to work at The Lutheran Home to further the ministry’s efforts,” said Chris. “Being a Belle Plaine native, I grew up knowing TLHA and eventually worked as a nursing assistant more than 30 years ago. To be welcomed back is humbling, and I look forward to working with each care community to continue to provide quality physical and spiritual care.”
In addition to Chris joining the team, TLHA welcomed Bonnie Krant as a new Executive Assistant to the executive leadership team. Bonnie brings 20 years of experience to the role and is responsible for providing a wide range of office management and support to TLHA’s team including operations, accounting, HR, and office facility management.
