The Lutheran Home Association Restructuring to Advance Ministry

Belle Plaine, MN (May 13, 2019) — The Lutheran Home Association (TLHA) announced the restructuring of its leadership on the Belle Plaine Campus. These changes will position the ministry to continue to serve seniors and individuals with disabilities while being better positioned for future growth. They will also affect Kingsway Retirement Living, Hope Residence, a disability housing facility, and The Lutheran Home: Belle Plaine, a skilled nursing facility. The care community provides an extensive array of services that promote wellness, and they have adopted a person-centric model of care that honors personal wishes and empowers individual success.

“By streamlining the leadership roles and operations, we will create a leaner ministry focused on providing quality Christian care,” said Chris Meyer, executive vice president and chief financial/business officer at TLHA. “Our team members have risen to meet the changing landscape of health care. With the restructuring of a few key positions, we are positioning the ministry for future success.”

The restructuring of leadership roles will focus on expanding our campus presence with referral sources, building cross-function teams, and offering operational efficiencies.

  • Jacqueline Grimm currently serves as the executive administrator at The Lutheran Home: Belle Plaine, a skilled nursing facility, Kingsway Retirement Living, and Boessling Apartments on the Belle Plaine campus. Grimm’s role is being repositioned to regional director of senior services for the Minnesota care communities. She will serve as the administrator at Kingsway and continue to provide oversight of the skilled nursing facility and Boessling. As additional support, recruitment will begin for an administrator to assist her with the day-to-day operations of The Lutheran Home: Belle Plaine.
  • Debra Wilbright serves as regional director of disability services for TLHA. She also serves as administrator at Hope Residence and Faith Apartments on the Belle Plaine campus. As the regional director of disability services, Debra focuses on advocating for individuals with disabilities and enhancing the field of disability services.
  • Karl Keup will transition from the administrator at Kingsway Retirement Living to senior project manager and director of risk management for TLHA. He will be responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of initiatives and projects throughout the association.

“Over the last nine months, we have seen the need for change. This opportunity will allow team members to grow in their roles while still making a difference in our residents’ and their family members’ lives,” said Jacqueline Grimm, newly appointed regional director of senior services. “This change will be a positive benefit for all those involved, and I look forward to seeing where we are in the future.”
