With the start of a new year, Wellhaven Senior Living, along with the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Pierce and St. Croix counties, took advantage of the perfect time for change.
Starting this year, the Memory Café program will meet at Wellhaven. Organizers hope the location change will encourage those with memory loss and their caregivers to attend the program.
"Memory café is a safe, comfortable and engaging environment for those with memory loss and their caregivers. It's a place where guests can laugh, learn and remain socially engaged with others traveling the same journey," explains Nancy Abrahamson, St. Croix County ADRC dementia specialist.
Guests will be offered light refreshments, have a chance to visit others and have access to resources needed for those with memory loss. Each month, a different guest speaker shares about a topic related to memory loss. A Memory Café program is meant to connect with those who have memory loss and their care givers.
All are welcome to attend Memory Café held at 10 a.m. on the last Tuesday of each month at Wellhaven. For more information, contact Laura at (715) 426-4646 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
