A time for change

Deb Wirt, Therapeutic Recreation (TR) Director at Hope, recently shared that she will be retiring. Deb served in the role of TR Director from December 2009 to August 2019. Prior to serving in this role, Deb served different positions within The Lutheran Home Association. Starting in 1997, she worked as TR Director at The Lutheran Home: Belle Plaine. In 2006, she transferred to Program Manager at Hope.

Annual butterfly release is a success

In preparation for the annual St. Michael’s Butterfly Release celebration, donations for the silent auction flooded in. More than 35 baskets with a variety of different themes were donated. Everything from a Packers themed basket to a Fourth of July basket to a coffee themed basket.

St. Michael's celebrated and honored their supporting "friends" by hosting a “Wine and Canvas” party. Each painter was given an apron, a variety of paintbrushes and a blank canvas ready to create a masterpiece.
