Annual butterfly release is a success

In preparation for the annual St. Michael’s Butterfly Release celebration, donations for the silent auction flooded in. More than 35 baskets with a variety of different themes were donated. Everything from a Packers themed basket to a Fourth of July basket to a coffee themed basket.

Painting to support St. Michael’s

St. Michael's celebrated and honored their supporting "friends" by hosting a “Wine and Canvas” party. Each painter was given an apron, a variety of paintbrushes and a blank canvas ready to create a masterpiece. Thanks to all who attended and thank you to everybody who continues to support our mission!

Daily trivia at Wellhaven

Wellhaven team members may have started a new daily activity on April Fools’ Day, but it was no joke. Kelley Johnson, Wellhaven's receptionist, comes up with a new question daily.  Every week day, Wellhaven tenants and senior guests are welcome to answer the daily trivia question. If the question is answered correctly, the senior receives a red ticket. Once they have earned 10 tickets, they earn a free guest meal.

Veteran flutist performs at Wellhaven

Wellhaven Senior Living tenants were recently treated to a unique performance. Denny Metzger shared his time and performed using a Native American flute. Metzger, a veteran with post-traumatic stress disorder, is able to reduce his stress by playing the flute. In addition, he also teaches others how to make the Native American flutes. They can be made from a variety of materials including plastic, wood and clay.
